Happy to announce the newest single from Ichiko Aoba, “Space Orphans” out now. Originally shared as a demo last year, this studio version features a new arrangement performed by the Phonolite Strings.

The song was written in collaboration with the Earth, as part of a special trial project with Earth Percent. A percentage of the songwriter revenue of this song will be donated in perpetuity to help fight climate change.

本楽曲は、2022年3月に「うちゅうのみなしご」のデモ音源としてInstagramに弾き語りでアップされたものが種となり、世界各地で演奏を繰り返す中、楽曲への解釈を深めながら、Phonolite Stringsの水谷浩章氏の新たなアレンジと、コントラバス、チェロ、ビオラ3本の華麗なサポートにより全ての側面がレベルアップしたスタジオカット。ミックス・マスタリングは、「アダンの風」などこれまでの多くの青葉市子の作品を手掛けた葛西敏彦が担当。
生命の力強さに寄り添うアートワークは、小林光大によって撮影されたもの。

今楽曲はブライアン・イーノ氏による環境保護団体、Earth%の「Earth as your co-writer」（共作者としての地球）企画に参加。著作権使用料の一部が地球に寄付され、環境保護活動に使われる。
